Writing
Writing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Long before I had language for grief, healing, or spirituality, I had words. Writing has been a place of refuge, reflection, and meaning-making — a way to tend to what is tender and to listen for what wants to be known.

On this page, I share pieces of my writing life, including reflections, newsletters, poetry, and information about my upcoming book. These words are offered gently, not as answers, but as companions.

A Story Still Unfolding
I am currently writing a book born from a lived love story and a season of profound change. It traces a journey through devotion, illness, hope, and loss — from choosing love against the grain of former lives, through the uncertainty of cancer and treatment, to the spiritual unfolding of dying, death, and grief following the loss of my partner.

This story also holds what came after. There was a time when grief hollowed life out completely, when continuing on felt uncertain, and meaning felt out of reach. Through intentional healing, I learned how to live with grief rather than be consumed by it — and how to turn pain into purpose, slowly and honestly.

In ways I never expected or sought, this path eventually opened me back to life, and to love again, after believing that chapter was forever closed. At its heart, this work is about what comes before, during, and after profound loss — and how love continues to shape us, even as everything changes. This book is being written slowly and with care, and more will be shared as it continues to take shape.

I share a newsletter titled Enlightenment: Insights on Life, Death, and Grief, offering reflections on grief, healing, presence, and the quiet work of tending a meaningful life. For the past three years, these letters have been shared quarterly, and as of 2026, they are offered monthly.

Poetry
Poetry has been one of my earliest and most enduring companions. I began writing as a child, often as a way to make sense of pain, loss, and experiences that arrived too early. Over time, poetry became a place to tend grief, to survive what was difficult, and to give shape to what could not yet be spoken.

These pieces arise from lived moments — trauma and healing, loss and love, memory and meaning — and from the small, luminous details that ask to be noticed. Selected poems will be shared here over time.
